Also, I’m delighted to once again be part of a panel presentation on nonfiction books for kids and teens. The amazing Melissa Stewart, who conceptualized and edited “Nonfiction Writers Dig Deep: 50 Award-Winning Children’s Book Authors Share the Secret of Engaging Writing” will be moderating a panel of five authors featured in the book – Patricia Newman, Traci Sorrell, Don Tate, Paula Yoo, and myself! We’ll be presenting at the California School Library Association’s annual conference on Friday Feb 18, 2022 from 1:00-1:45pm Pacific. The panel is called “Nonfiction Writers Dig Deep: Promoting Equity, Justice, & Anti-Racism through Informational Writing,” and it’s sure to be a great discussion. If you’re a school librarian attending the conference, I hope you’ll join us!
