So my friend Lori Synder’s debut middle grade novel, The Circus at the End of the Sea, comes out on October 19, 2021. (An easy enough day for me to remember, as it’s also the publication date of my debut picture book, Red and Green and Blue and White.)
Lori is a force of creative good in our world, the founder of the Writers Happiness Movement, and to celebrate her book launch she’s put together a series of seven free conversations with 25 creatives across many fields to chat about Joy, Art, and Healing.
The first conversation is coming up on Sunday October 3, at 1pm Pacific, and it’s focus is creators of children’s and teen literature. On the panel with Lori and myself will be Dawn Quigley (Jo Jo Makoons: The Used to Be Best Friend, book 1); Nicole D. Collier (Just Right Jillian); Jason June (Jay’s Gay Agenda); and Isabel Galupo (Maiden and Princess).
It’s free, and you can register here.
We hope you’ll join Lori, Dawn, Nicole, Jason, Isabel, and myself for what’s sure to be a fascinating conversation! Learn more about all seven of the Joy, Art, and Healing panels here.
The light in me recognizes and acknowledges the light in you,
Lee
