Day Job Awesomeness – How My Day Job Raised Over $9,500 for the Book Industry Charitable Foundation!

A screen shot of the Donor Profile article at the Binc website.

Lots of writers have day jobs. I’ve been fortunate that for the last four plus years, mine is in the book industry in a job I love! I’m currently the Director of Education and Programs (book marketing programs) for the nonprofit Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA).

Part of my job is to run IBPA’s quarterly bookstore catalog program… And when the pandemic happened, and bookstores and booksellers were in such need, the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (Binc) was there to help. So the IBPA team that I’m part of came up with a pretty creative way to leverage our bookstore catalog to help.

There’s a really nice “Donor Profile” interview all about it that Binc ran last week – you can read it here: Donor Profile: Lee Wind and the IBPA Community.

I’m really proud of the work we’ve done, and the good stuff we’re doing! Most of all, I’m grateful to be in a position to help…

The light in me recognizes and acknowledges the light in you,
Lee
